Special Election for the Office of President-Elect Pro-tem
A Special Election for the Office of President-Elect Pro-tem will be held at the September Business Meeting. Seeking two non-executive board volunteers to assist the Secretary as part of the election committee. Also, seeking volunteers for the position of President-Elect Pro-tem.
Who is going Ziplining with me?
Ozone Zipline Adventures, is one of the newest attractions in southern Ohio. Based out of the YMCA Camp Kern, in Warren County, OH, this zipline tour is the longest tour in the Midwest , traveling over 10,000 feet in length (2 miles). I want to bring you up-to-date with some of the things your Board has been doing lately.
Last month, I mentioned we were going to attend the OVSC Summit in Cincinnati. What a great weekend. We got to meet all the vendors in attendance. I think it was close to a record number of 32 vendors in attendance. Most said they would definitely be coming to Dayton next year. They were from all over the United States and Canada. Quick getaway places like Seven Springs and Holiday to extend trip locations likes Taos, Whitefish, Banff and Aspen. Many good contacts were made, several new friendships created and lot’s of good ideas exchanged. We also had the chance to meet and exchange ideas with many of the Board representatives from the other OVSC clubs. We shared some of the problems we all face (membership, affordable trips, policies and procedures, etc.) and how each club is dealing with these situations in these tough economic times. Cincinnati also threw a pretty nice party Saturday night. There was plenty of dancers to keep the floor occupied all evening.
